Track 5 is "irokoi," which is the Japanese way to say Iroquois. After I finished recording and polishing the track, I thought that one of the recurring sounds REALLY sounded exactly like when the JSDF helicopters fly over. They do this every so often. The name of the most common helicopter they use is the Iroquois, which was originally made by Bell but has been made here by Fuji Heavy Industries for a number of years. The Iroquois is more commonly known by its nickname, Huey. This track is odd because by accident I played it back at 25% speed instead of 50% speed and thought it sounded even better so I left it at 25%. Just for shits & giggles, for the title I decided to use some kanji (Chinese characters used in Japan) to force a non-standard reading and thus engage in some trickydick wordplay fun-and-games wink wink nudge nudge knowhatImean? Confuse the locals. The characters mean "deep color," but you can still read them together as "irokoi." Yay.
